Friday Favesaugustus 17, 2019
Hi. Hi. Hi. And happy Friday.
Or, at least, a happy Friday to the rascally rodents in my garden who snaked my first, oh-so-anxiously-waiting-for crop of tomatoes. Dag nabbit! At least my tomato TLC is benefitting someone in need. Fingers crossed that will be the last of them.
This is the unofficial last weekend of summer here at the casa de Larsen. School starts on Monday and my teen is not one bit happy about it. Why would she be? Staying up late and sleeping in ’til noon was exactly what I wanted to do at her age too. But then real life had to butt itself into the non-busy summer schedule. And now look. It’s time to crack the whip and get back to it. Rude.
I’ll miss my girl being home with me during the day, but I’m ready to get back to the regular flow of things.
It’s been a great summer, and I feel totally recharged. I’ve made time for myself, my family and friends, and for the first time in years forced myself to separate my personal time from work time, to get out and live. It’s made all the difference in the world, and it’s a plan I am going to work my hardest to continue.
And I’d love to hear from you. How do you keep yourself motivated? I’m always looking for ideas to better myself, so please, share yours by emailing me or sharing in the comments below.
Coming this fall, I have loads of new recipes to share, plus plenty of new content ideas to share and hopefully inspire you too. Things won’t be changing in an earth shattering way, just dialing things in to make us all better cooks and livers-of-life.
