A dog’s teeth have been knocked out by a man who kicked it in the face in an act of animal cruelty in Sydney’s CBD.
A woman was walking her two dogs – named Sootie and Timmy – in The Rocks about 10pm on Tuesday when she sat down on a bench, police say.
The woman was approached by a man with a dog, which started barking and growling at her dogs.
One of the woman’s dogs, Sootie, growled back and the man then kicked the dog in the face.
Sootie had the front row of its teeth knocked out.
An argument then erupted between the woman and the man who then grabbed the woman’s phone and stomped on it before walking away.
Police have released an image of the man they want to speak to about the incident.
He is described as Caucasian, in his 60s, about 170cm tall and of medium build with grey hair.
