A precious dog was being extra cautious when he ducked his head every single time his owner drove under an overpass. 

In a video shared on Thursday, a black dog sits shotgun in his owner’s car as the two of them cruise down the street on a sunny day.  

The dog seems less than thrilled as the vehicle speeds towards a series of overpasses, but the adorable reason why couldn’t be anymore sweet. 

Video footage captured a cute dog riding in his owner’s car and ducking his head every time they drive under an overpass

Worried that he’ll somehow bump his head on the structure about 17 feet up, the dog swiftly ducks his head.    

As soon as they clear the first overpass, his curious face pops up again before the next they drive under the next overpass. 

The owner reassuringly pats the dog’s back the entire video as its forced to conquer its fears. 

People on social media joked that the dog might be superstitious.

The dog’s owner rubs his back reassuringly throughout the whole video as the dog’s nerves get the best of him 

One person said: ‘Does he hold his breath when you go over a bridge?’ 

‘Paws up for railroad tracks?,’ a YouTube comment said.  

Other users chimed in and said they have dogs who did similar things.

The American Kennel Club says that anxiety in dogs can come from many different things and present itself in several ways. 

They advise talking to a veterinarian to help identify the source of a dog’s anxiety to help find a solution. 

This includes additional training, anxiety medication and using CBD oil for dogs.
